SMVenture ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SmartAutoConnect application. SmartAutoConnect is engineered with an offline-first, peer-to-peer architecture. Communication between your Android smartphone and in-car infotainment head unit occurs strictly over local Bluetooth RFCOMM sockets.
To establish and maintain a persistent connection with automotive hardware, SmartAutoConnect requests:
Permissions: BLUETOOTH_SCAN, BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, BLUETOOTH_ADVERTISE.
Usage: Discovers nearby car Bluetooth adapters, negotiates serial RFCOMM sockets, and transmits controls between phone and dashboard display.
Permission: FOREGROUND_SERVICE_CONNECTED_DEVICE.
Usage: Ensures the Bluetooth data socket remains uninterrupted while driving, even when the phone screen is locked or navigation apps are in the background. A persistent notification is displayed while the service is active.
Usage: Extracts current music track name, artist, and playback progress to display on the car dashboard cockpit screen.
SmartAutoConnect does not share, sell, or rent your device data, vehicle information, or personal identifiers to advertising networks or third-party data brokers.
Because all application data and pairing tokens are stored locally on your device, you can completely erase all data at any moment by clearing the application storage or uninstalling the app. You may also contact our team via Data Deletion Portal.
